Department of Health in Melbourne seeks a Solicitor to support the Privacy Team by providing timely legal advice on privacy and information sharing to improve Victorian healthcare. The role reports to the Specialist Privacy Lead and contributes to privacy assessments and governance resources.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and related legislation, and will support Ministers and senior officials with high-quality legal

• Provides timely, practical and well-reasoned legal advice on privacy and information sharing matters.
• Drafts and develops Cabinet and meeting papers, briefs and related materials.
• Experience with government privacy and information governance is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice to Ministers, the Secretary, and relevant offices on privacy issues.
• Support privacy impact assessments and breach management.
• Maintain privacy templates, registers and related resources.
