The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Solicitor to support the Privacy Team in providing timely, practical legal advice on privacy and information sharing to safeguard Victorians’ health data. The role focuses on delivering clear guidance to Ministers, the Secretary and relevant offices while maintaining robust privacy governance.

You will draft ministerial and cabinet-related materials, undertake privacy impact assessments, and contribute to information governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires current practising certificate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law 2014.
• Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience preferred.
• Experience in privacy, information sharing or information governance in government desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, practical and well-reasoned legal advice, briefings and correspondence to support sound decision-making on privacy and information sharing matters.
• Provide services on a range of issues within agreed timeframes with clients and the team.
• Draft and develop public administration materials, including Cabinet and Cabinet-related material, Ministerial and Secretary briefs, meeting papers, agendas, minutes and reports.
