Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC – Victoria is seeking a Prison Supervisor within the Security and Emergency Services Group (SESG). You will lead daily SESG operations, oversee specialist portfolios such as chemical agents, firearms, canines, safety, and HR portfolios, and provide guidance to senior management through written reports.

You will drive policy, governance, and workforce development while managing teams across correctional facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Victorian driver’s licence (or minimum P2)
• Provide First Aid HLTAIDO11 prior to commencement
• SESg training will provide other qualifications
• Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial) desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SESG operations and manage specialist portfolios
• Develop, implement and review SESG practices and procedures
• Lead working parties and reference groups; provide reports to senior management
• Oversee custodial teams delivering security and emergency services across the system
