Job summary

MRAEL, in partnership with Insignia, seeks a Printing Apprentice to join the Wakerley production team in Brisbane for an ASAP start. Open to Year 12 students.

You’ll begin with hands-on print production tasks, progress to press setups under supervision, and aim to operate your own printing press in time. This apprenticeship offers full training, a Certificate III in Printing, and a supportive, safety‑first environment.

Qualifications

• Must commit to a 4-year apprenticeship.
• Recent school leaver or seeking first full-time job.
• Practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to get dirty.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and curiosity about printing.
• Must pass pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing and preparing materials, inks and job components.
• Support qualified printers with press setups and housekeeping.
• Help with waste paper removal and general production tasks.
• Participate in quality checks and finishing processes.
• Learn to operate presses under supervision as skills grow.
