Sovereign Press in Ballarat invites applications for an offset printing machinist apprenticeship. You will learn on a modern high-quality offset press, develop skills in setup, run and finish, and contribute to daily production targets.

This entry-level role suits someone who is self-motivated, reliable and physically capable of manual tasks such as lifting paper. On-site training and schooling will be provided, with overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• Looking for a self-motivated, independent individual for an offset printing machinist apprenticeship.
• On-the-job training in our lithographic print department with on-site schooling.
• Safety-conscious with ability to lift paper and operate machinery.

We are a thriving Ballarat printing company that is seeking a keen and passionate individual to undertake an offset printing machinist apprenticeship.

Who you Are:

You will describe yourself as someone who is self motivated, able to work independently and takes pride in your work. You will be physically capable of being able to manually lift paper and boxes and perform manual tasks on the machine.

The Opportunity:
This role will see you in our learning in our lithographic print department. Your main objective is to be a skilled machinist who will be ensuring efficient and timely production to the highest standard of offset jobs produced on our modern high quality offset press.

The role is measured on quality, accurate & timely production while maintaining standards of work and safety.

On Job training and schooling providing on site, all training expenses reimbursed.

Working Monday to Friday day shift. Overtime rates paid where applicable.

To be successful for this great role you will have a reliable, positive attitude and ability to fit into a happy, friendly team.

Start date is flexible, we are looking for someone to start prior to Christmas or possibly after our Christmas closure on 11th January.
