Job summary

NSW Government is seeking a Print Production Assistant for a 12-month on-site contract based in Pyrmont. The role covers a range of print production services, including postal duties, with no remote working options.

You will operate and monitor print equipment, inspect outputs, maintain paper stock, and generate daily production reports while ensuring adherence to policies and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience operating print room or similar production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and security protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure.
• NSW Government or public sector experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor print production equipment to ensure quality outputs.
• Inspect print samples and adjust to maintain quality.
• Manage secure paper inventory in line with policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repairs on equipment.
• Prepare daily production and paper usage reports.
• Support postal services, including scanning and mailing.
• Prepare certificates, letters and correspondence in line with organisational requirements.
