Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering team focused on Defence Projects in Australia. You will act as a senior technical resource, lead design across materials, and drive delivery excellence across major projects.
The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering with 13+ years of experience delivering complex structural schemes and strong proficiency with ETABS, RAM Concept, RAPT and SpaceGASS. Flexible hybrid work options are available.

Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical advice to the wider team on stability design, basements, structural steel framing and post-tensioned floors.
- Lead design and liaise with clients, architects and builders through design and construction phases.
- Develop and implement design and delivery procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work.
- Perform quality control reviews of calculations/drawings and prepare technical specification sections.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews and engineering budgets/schedules.
