Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Principal ServiceNow Platform Engineer to join as a senior technical leader for the ServiceNow platform. You will bring 7+ years of ServiceNow experience, set engineering direction, define standards and mentor engineers while guiding how the platform evolves to meet business needs.

What's the role?

As a Principal Platform Engineer, you'll be one of the most senior technical leaders for the ServiceNow platform. You'll bring 7+ years of ServiceNow experience and help set engineering direction, define standards, solve complex technical challenges, mentor engineers, and guide how the platform evolves over time. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, product owners and stakeholders to improve platform capabilities and support the adoption of AI, automation and emerging technologies. This is a permanent role.

What do I need?

• Strong ServiceNow platform knowledge across multiple products and capabilities.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, scripting, APIs, integrations and automation.
• Ability to define engineering standards, patterns and best practices.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and delivering outcomes.
• Knowledge of platform architecture, security, performance and governance.
• Experience with AI, automation and emerging technologies.
• Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
