What’s the role?

You’ll join our Digital Consumer Finance Technology team on the Gold Coast, contributing to the support and optimisation of systems underpinning customer payment and lending platforms. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you will work directly with production data, write clean and maintainable code, and generate data‑driven insights to support operational and strategic decision making.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, data, and business teams to solve complex system and data issues. The role has a strong focus on data analysis, system troubleshooting, process improvement, and maintaining technology standards within a regulated environment. You will also contribute to improving system monitoring, documentation, and service management practices within an Agile delivery model.

What do I need?

• Strong SQL expertise, including writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large and structured datasets
• Hands‑on experience using Python or R for data manipulation, scripting, or automation of data processes
• Proven experience building dashboards or reporting outputs using Power BI, including data visualisation and insight generation
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and production‑ready code, with an understanding of development best practices and code quality standards
• Demonstrated experience analysing data to identify trends, anomalies, or performance issues, and translating findings into actionable insights
• Experience improving or automating processes using scripting, tooling, or workflow optimisation techniques
• Strong troubleshooting capability across systems, including identifying root causes through data, logs, or system behaviour
• Understanding of system monitoring and operational support within a service management framework such as ITIL, including exposure to incident and problem management
• Experience maintaining technical documentation, including system configurations, architecture details, and operational procedures
• Exposure to technology risk, controls, or compliance practices within a regulated environment
• Advanced Excel capability for data analysis and manipulation
