Job summary

Westpac in Sydney is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend focused) to join the Cash & Transactional banking Technology team. You will help transform business vision into delivery, working in a fast-paced, agile environment on major transformation programs.

This permanent hybrid role is based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country. You will apply Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and secure authentication practices while collaborating with partners and leveraging CI/CD tools to ship reliable

• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Hands on experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs in Java, J2EE, and Struts.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and industry standards.
• Skilled in implementing secure APIs using authentication mechanisms like OAuth and JWT.

What’s the Role:

Join our Cash & Transactional banking Technology team as a Senior Fullstack Engineer. The Cash & Transactional banking team works with the business team in transforming the business vision into reality by planning and delivering the projects along with our strategic partners. Work in a fast paced and agile environment, contributing to major transformation programs and supporting the Cash & Transactional Technology Team.

What do I need?

• Strong analytical and design capabilities with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Hands on experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs in Java, J2EE, and Struts.
