Ground Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join a Perth-based team working on significant mining projects in a consulting environment. The role welcomes candidates from graduate level up to about 10 years of experience in geoscience, offering exposure to client-side mining work while leveraging site experience.

You will conduct geotechnical investigations, prepare reports, and liaise with major clients across diverse, challenging environments in Western Australia.

Qualifications

• From graduate level to 10 years of experience as an engineering geologist or geologist in mining or construction.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work on long-term remote projects.
• Skilled in writing clear, professional reports with interpretive depth.
• Excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and internal teams.
• Able to pass medical, drug, and alcohol screening assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and provide construction support on active sites
• Build strong relationships with client-side teams and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed factual and interpretive geological reports with engineering insights
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including medical and drug/alcohol screening
• Support desktop studies, geohazard identification, and engineering geomorphology
