Fortescue is seeking a Principal - Integration in Perth to lead its multidisciplinary engineering integration capability across R&D and technology programs. You will drive capacity planning, governance, and processes, coordinating Test, Project, Systems, and Digital Engineering to deliver safe, integrated outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, broad systems engineering expertise, and experience in modelling, simulation and AI/ML applications.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or technical teams in R&D, mining, energy or technology.
• Demonstrated people leadership, line management, team development and capability-building.
• Strong experience in systems engineering, test engineering, project engineering and digital engineering.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary activities across lifecycles.
• Proven ability to deliver outcomes against scope, quality, schedule and cost.
• Experience embedding engineering processes, systems and tools.
• Knowledge of V&V, RAM and requirements management.
• Experience with governance and assurance in engineering.
• Modelling, simulation and digital engineering with AI/ML in engineering desirable.
• Postgraduate qualifications and/or Chartered Engineering are desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Test Engineering, Project Engineering & Project Support, Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering / CAE.
• Manage engineering capability, capacity, resource allocation and priorities across concurrent R&D and technology development programs.
• Partner with Program Managers and engineering leaders to translate program requirements into executable engineering activities, work packages and resource plans.
• Ensure engineering outputs are delivered to agreed quality, cost and schedule requirements.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve engineering processes, systems, tools, governance and consistent ways of working.
• Lead systems and test engineering capability, including RAM, requirements and attributes management, interfaces, traceability and verification and validation planning.
• Drive integration between engineering disciplines, Science and Operations to support effective technology development, testing and validation.
• Lead Digital Engineering and CAE capability, including modelling, simulation, model governance and model-test correlation.
• Support AI and machine learning applications to modelling, optimisation, automation, data analysis and engineering decision-making.
• Provide people leadership, coaching, workforce planning and capability development while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
