Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering activities across complex infrastructure projects in Adelaide. You will guide requirements management, systems architecture, interface management, integration planning, verification and validation, and operational readiness, shaping approaches and delivering evidence-based outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science or another relevant discipline with demonstrated systems engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas of the systems engineering lifecycle.
• Experience leading systems engineering activities and influencing outcomes across multidisciplinary teams and organisations.
• Ability to manage requirements, interfaces, change, complexity and technical risk.
• Confidence engaging with clients and communicating complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A practical and collaborative approach to developing clear, defensible and evidence-based engineering outcomes.
• Desirable: experience with recognised systems engineering standards, methods, digital engineering or requirements management tools.
• Desirable: membership of INCOSE, SESA, Engineers Australia or other relevant professional association.
• Desirable: Chartered status or INCOSE certification.
• Desirable: Australian Government Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
