Job summary

Arup Australia in Brisbane seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer – Renewables to lead delivery of renewable energy projects across solar, wind and battery storage, and to shape high‑quality engineering solutions aligned with client and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in electrical, mechanical or renewable energy engineering, with chartered status or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive experience in renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind, battery storage) and grid integration.
• Strong technical knowledge of secondary electrical design, smart grids, and energy storage systems.
• Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions aligned with client and regulatory expectations.
