Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in electrical, mechanical or renewable energy engineering, with chartered status or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive experience in renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind, battery storage) and grid integration.
• Strong technical knowledge of secondary electrical design, smart grids, and energy storage systems.
• Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including client-facing experience.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer – Renewables at Arup, Brisbane, you will lead the delivery of renewable energy solutions that support the energy transition. You’ll drive technical strategy for integrating solar, wind, and battery storage into complex infrastructure projects. You’ll also advise clients and collaborate across disciplines to shape clean, reliable, and future-ready energy systems. Join our growing technical consulting team working across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally in the energy and renewable power sector.
