Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an Associate Director/Principal Civil Engineer based in Gladstone or Mackay to lead complex transport and civil infrastructure projects across Central Queensland.

You'll provide technical leadership, grow the civil engineering capability, and build lasting relationships with clients while collaborating with Aurecon's national network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in consulting or infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver outcomes.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge of Australian standards and infrastructure delivery frameworks.
• RPEQ is essential.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
• Build and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to growth.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Drive quality outcomes and ensure compliance with standards and best practice.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and strengthen Aurecon's presence across Central Queensland.
