Job summary

Fairhills Primary School in Ferntree Gully, VIC, is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher. The role focuses on planning, preparation and delivery of literacy, numeracy and engaging learning experiences to support student outcomes across ranges 1 and 2.

The successful applicant will work with Literacy and Numeracy Leaders, monitor student progress, use data to inform teaching, and participate in school programs, with opportunities to mentor student teachers and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to plan high-impact teaching.
• Experience in monitoring student learning and using data to inform teaching practice.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and assessment.
• Attend meetings, camps and parent/teacher activities as required.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as needed.
