Job summary

Menindee Central School is seeking a School Learning Support Officer to assist in preschool contexts and across classrooms. The role focuses on students with identified learning needs, supporting welfare, health and wellbeing as directed by teachers.

Essential qualifications include ACECQA credentials or equivalent, Working with Children Check, and readiness to undertake mandatory training and first aid. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified position.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent is required.
• Working with Children Check clearance is essential.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training relevant to the role.
• Mandatory training completed by the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments.
• Assist with student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Support preschool streams such as pre-school, vision/hearing support, and bilingual settings.
• Work under the direction of a teacher to help achieve educational outcomes.
