Job summary

Kingsgrove Public School is seeking a School Learning Support Officer for our new preschool. You will support students with diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments under teacher supervision, contributing to welfare and wellbeing activities and assisting across streams such as pre-school, vision/hearing support, and bilingual services.

Qualifications

• Be working towards or hold ACECQA approved Certificate III in Children’s Services or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Working with Children Check Clearance.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training relevant to the role.
• Administration of Medications – training to be provided.
• Health support training to be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified learning needs under the direction of a teacher.
• Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Assist in preschools streams/settings: pre-school, vision/hearing support, and bilingual duties.
• Demonstrate suitability and compliance with NSW Department of Education policies.
