Job summary

Henry Engineering, a precision CNC machining business based in Minto NSW, is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer and Operator to join our growing team. You will produce components to exacting standards on a DMG MORI NLX2500/700, reading drawings and selecting tooling and speeds.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience, a strong grasp of G-code/M-code, and a safety-conscious approach to machining. You’ll collaborate with production to meet schedules and ensure consistent quality across

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of CNC Lathe and Machining Centre programming and operating experience.
Able to set up and program CNC machines.
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code languages.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of tooling and materials.
Detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathe to produce parts per engineering drawings (DMG MORI NLX2500/700).
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining.
Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in top condition.
Perform quality inspections to verify precision of parts.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
Collaborate with production to schedule jobs.
Continuously monitor processes to improve efficiency.
