Job summary

Henry Engineering, a precision CNC machining business based in Minto NSW, is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer and Operator to join our growing team. You will produce components to exacting standards on a DMG MORI NLX2500/700, reading drawings and selecting tooling and speeds.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience, a strong grasp of G-code/M-code, and a safety-conscious approach to machining. You’ll collaborate with production to meet schedules and ensure consistent quality across

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC Lathe and Machining Centre programming and operating experience.
• Able to set up and program CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code languages.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of tooling and materials.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathe to produce parts per engineering drawings (DMG MORI NLX2500/700).
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining.
• Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in top condition.
• Perform quality inspections to verify precision of parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Collaborate with production to schedule jobs.
• Continuously monitor processes to improve efficiency.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Lathe and Machining Centre Programmer and Operator to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will play a critical role in producing precision components that meet our high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our cutting-edge projects and drive the growth of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathe to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. (DMG MORI NLX2500/700)
• Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feeds to optimize machining processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in optimal working condition.
• Perform quality control inspections to verify the accuracy and precision of finished parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process.
• Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule machining jobs.
• Continuously monitor production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe and Machining Centre programmer and operator.
• Proficiency in setting up and programming CNC machines
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages.
• Knowledge of various materials commonly used in machining (e.g., metals, plastics, etc.)
• Knowledge of tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Safety-conscious and familiar with best practices in machining operations.

Preferred:

• Technical certifications or relevant formal training in CNC machining.
• Experience with, Fanuc ( Machining Centre) and Celos (Mori-seki Multi Axis)
