Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac to lead its 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home and 29 Seniors Living Units. You will oversee operations, drive person-centred care, manage budgets, and collaborate with allied health, hospitality and lifestyle teams to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.

You will be responsible for leading a large, multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and AN-ACC guidelines, while promoting safety, staff development

Qualifications

• Experience in similar level roles at large 100+ bed aged care homes.
• Strong people management skills including staff leadership and development; succession planning and change management.
• Good business acumen with budgets, rostering, occupancy; familiarity with AN-ACC, accreditation standards.
• Knowledge of retirement village operations, budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills; problem solving.
• Compassionate, flexible and positive approach; ability to foster collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Residential Aged Care and Seniors Living Teams; oversee day-to-day operations.
• Liaise with stakeholders to deliver best-practice operational and clinical services.
• Drive a culture of safety, positivity and continuous improvement in line with accreditation standards.
• Manage budgets, occupancy and rosters with a focus on resident outcomes and quality of care.

About the opportunity:

As the Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac, you will be in charge of our 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home & 29 Seniors Living Units (ILUs).

• Permanent Full-Time Position.
• An opportunity to lead the Residential Aged Care & Seniors Living Teams.
• Be an active leader of a team where communication is valued and continuous improvement is promoted in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards.
• Lead a culture that promotes positivity and safety while delivering our Model of Care that focuses on the individual emotional and physical needs of the resident.
• You will liaise with all stakeholders to deliver best practice operational and clinical services, including allied health, hospitality, lifestyle and community activities.
• Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.

What you'll bring:

• Prior experience in similar level roles at large 100 + bed aged care homes.
• Strong people management skills including staff leadership and development, succession planning and experience in change management.
• Business acumen (i.e. budgets, efficient rostering, occupancy) and sound knowledge of AN-ACC, accreditation and aged care standards.
• Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• National Police Check
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse is highly desirable
