Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac, a 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home and 29 Seniors Living Units. You will lead the Residential Aged Care and Seniors Living Teams, support accreditation standards, and drive a culture of safety, communication and continuous improvement.

This permanent, full-time role offers opportunities to liaise with stakeholders, manage budgets and occupancy, and shape person-centred care in collaboration with allied health and hospitality

Qualifications

• Experience leading large aged care teams (100+ beds).
• Ability to coach, develop and retain staff with change management.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and person‑centred care.

Responsibilities

About the opportunity:

As the Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac, you will be in charge of our 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home & 29 Seniors Living Units (ILUs).

• Permanent Full-Time Position.


• An opportunity to lead the Residential Aged Care & Seniors Living Teams.


• Be an active leader of a team where communication is valued and continuous improvement is promoted in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards.


• Lead a culture that promotes positivity and safety while delivering our Model of Care that focuses on the individual emotional and physical needs of the resident.


• You will liaise with all stakeholders to deliver best practice operational and clinical services, including allied health, hospitality, lifestyle and community activities.


• Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.

What you'll bring:

• Prior experience in similar level roles at large 100 + bed aged care homes.


• Strong people management skills including staff leadership and development, succession planning and experience in change management.


• Business acumen (i.e. budgets, efficient rostering, occupancy) and sound knowledge of AN-ACC, accreditation and aged care standards.


• Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.


• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment.


• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.


• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach.


• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• National Police Check


• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse is highly desirable
