Job summary

Mercy Aged and Community Care Ltd appoints a Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac, overseeing a 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home and 29 Seniors Living Units. This permanent full-time role requires leading multiple teams, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with accreditation standards.

You will work with allied health, hospitality, lifestyle and community teams to deliver person-centred care, with strong emphasis on budgets, occupancy, and safety. AHPRA registration is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in similar level roles at large 100+ bed aged care homes.
• Strong people management, staff leadership and development, change management experience.
• Knowledge of budgets, occupancy, accreditation standards and AN-ACC.
• Understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Residential Aged Care & Seniors Living Teams and liaise with stakeholders to deliver best practice services.
• Manage budgets, rostering, occupancy and compliance in line with accreditation standards.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement aligned with Mercy Life Model of Care.

About the opportunity

As the Precinct Manager for Mercy Place Colac, you will be in charge of our 107-bed Residential Aged Care Home & 29 Seniors Living Units (ILUs). Permanent Full-Time Position. An opportunity to lead the Residential Aged Care & Seniors Living Teams. Be an active leader of a team where communication is valued and continuous improvement is promoted in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards. Lead a culture that promotes positivity and safety while delivering our Model of Care that focuses on the individual emotional and physical needs of the resident. You will liaise with all stakeholders to deliver best practice operational and clinical services, including allied health, hospitality, lifestyle and community activities. Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.

What you’ll bring

• Prior experience in similar level roles at large 100 + bed aged care homes.
• Strong people management skills including staff leadership and development, succession planning and experience in change management.
• Business acumen (i.e. budgets, efficient rostering, occupancy) and sound knowledge of AN-ACC, accreditation and aged care standards.
• Business acumen and retirement village knowledge relating to budgets, occupancy, compliance and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• National Police Check.
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse is highly desirable.
