Job summary

Central Industries is seeking a Precast Concrete Yard Hand to join our NSW facility on a full-time basis. The role supports manufacturing and delivery of precast concrete products, working with skilled teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will assist with moulds and formwork, mix and finish concrete, operate basic yard equipment, and help with loading and unloading for deliveries. A hands-on, reliable team player is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moulds, reinforcement cages and formwork setup.
• Mix, pour and finish concrete to specifications.
• Operate yard equipment under supervision (vibrators, compactors, forklifts).
• Maintain and clean moulds, tools and yard area.
• Stack and store finished products for delivery.
• Load/unload products onto vehicles for delivery.
• Monitor product quality and report defects to senior staff.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Support team to meet production targets.

Central Industries is seeking a Precast Concrete Yard Hand to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Wallerawang, NSW 2845. This is a hands‑on role that is essential to the smooth operation of our precast concrete production yard. As a Precast Concrete Yard Hand, you will support the manufacturing and delivery of high‑quality precast concrete products, working alongside experienced team members to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in a dynamic industrial environment whilst contributing directly to the success of our operations.

What you'll be doing

As a Precast Concrete Yard Hand, your key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation and setup of moulds, reinforcement cages and formwork for precast concrete production

Mixing, pouring and finishing concrete products according to specifications and quality standards

Operating basic yard equipment and machinery under supervision, including vibrators, compactors and forklifts (with appropriate qualifications)

Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of moulds, equipment and the production yard

Stacking, storing and organising finished precast concrete products in the yard

Assisting with the loading and unloading of concrete products onto vehicles for delivery

Monitoring product quality and flagging any defects or issues to senior staff

Adhering to all health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

Supporting other team members to meet production targets and deadlines

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in an industrial environment, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions

A strong commitment to health and safety practices and a willingness to follow all workplace procedures

Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and specifications accurately

Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work consistent full-time hours

A willingness to learn and develop new skills in precast concrete production

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Preferred experience includes:

Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction or industrial yard environment

Experience working with concrete or precast products

Current qualifications such as a Forklift or Telehandler licence

Experience operating power tools and basic machinery
