Job summary

Civilmart, an Australian owned national manufacturer of precast concrete products, is seeking a Production Operator to join our busy production team. You will help in the day-to-day production of precast items, ensuring safety, efficiency and quality across our sites.

Responsibilities include operating production equipment, assisting mould assembly, finishing concrete, performing basic quality checks and reporting any issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred.
  • Willing to work hands-on and follow routine supervision.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Job Description

About the Role

As a Production Operator, you will be involved in the day-to-day production of precast concrete products. You will work as part of the production team to ensure products are made safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating production equipment, hand tools and power tools
  • Assisting with mould assembly and stripping
  • Facing and finishing concrete products
  • Lubricating and maintaining moulds
  • Carrying out basic quality checks and reporting any issues
  • Maintaining clean and tidy work areas and equipment
  • Following safe manual handling practices
  • Assisting with production targets and maintaining plant efficiency
  • Reporting safety, quality, environmental and production issues
  • Assisting with minor repairs where trained and competent
  • Working with Leading Hands and the Production Manager as required
  • Following company WHS, Quality and Environmental procedures
  • Taking part in continuous improvement activities

  • Has a forklift licence or experience operating a forklift (desirable)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, precast concrete or a similar environment will be highly regarded
