Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Australia seeks an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to lead work winning for the National Airports & Defence team within the Infrastructure Services business. The role will leverage a wide network to position the organisation, form teams and pursue opportunities that convert into delivery contracts.

You will manage bid strategy, produce bid documents and cost estimates, ensure timely submission, and mentor a team of estimators within the Pre-contracts group to win

Qualifications

• Negotiating and managing client relationships including understanding client drivers and formulating win themes.
• Clear and decisive leadership and management of market pursuits ensuring the tender and proposal is submitted on time and within budget.
• Experience in Pre-Contracts Manager position with experience in managing a portfolio of multi-disciplined projects in the industry.
• Understanding of current market conditions and client demand cycles in civil construction & transport infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• The full bid lifecycle from opportunity pipeline management through to signed contract.
• Presenting identified new business opportunities within the established business strategy to senior leadership/management for endorsement to participate in any invitation to bid.
• Working on bid strategy and preparing bid documents, bid media and ensuring the timely submission of response documents.
• Organising and managing the technical information, ensuring accurate cost estimates, delivery strategies and supporting documentation are delivered within the prescribed deadlines.
• Driving internal governance of the bid, organising key estimate reviews and respective internal approvals to submit.
• Supporting and developing a team of estimators and collaborating within the broader Fulton Hogan Construction Pre-contracts team environment.
