Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW in Woolloomooloo invites applications for a Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Matthew Talbot Clinic, delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to people experiencing complex health and social needs.

In this newly created leadership role you will oversee practice operations, recruit and develop staff, coordinate external GPs and allied health practitioners, and ensure governance, safety and accreditation requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a management or senior practice administration role.
• Strong leadership, team development and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare stakeholders.
• Experience with quality improvement, compliance, risk management and/or accreditation.
• Strong organisational and financial management skills.
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safeguarding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection systems.
• Knowledge of community resources, health, mental health, housing, legal and support services.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and service delivery of the clinic in collaboration with the Clinical Practice Lead.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance and development of staff and external practitioners.
• Build strong relationships with GPs, allied health professionals, and community services.
• Oversee rosters, leave, payroll, assets, equipment, and financial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, quality, risk management and clinical governance.
• Lead accreditation preparation and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive team culture focused on staff wellbeing and patient outcomes.
• Ensure safeguarding, WHS, confidentiality and duty of care.
• Use data and insights to support service planning and evaluation.
• Develop partnerships with external services for continuity of care.
