Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW invites applications for a newly created Practice Manager at Matthew Talbot Clinic in Woolloomooloo, NSW. You will lead day-to-day operations, coordinate GPs and allied health practitioners, and ensure high-quality, accessible care for people with complex health and social needs.

You will develop and coach a dedicated team, drive governance and accreditation, manage rosters and finances, and build strong partnerships with external services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a management or senior practice administration role.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• An understanding of medical terminology and healthcare stakeholders.
• Experience with quality improvement, compliance, risk management and/or accreditation.
• Strong organisational and financial management skills.
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and a commitment to safeguarding.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and data collection systems.
• Knowledge of community resources, particularly health, mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, legal, employment and support services.
• A current NSW Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations and service delivery of the clinic in collaboration with the Clinical Practice Lead.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, performance and development of employees and external practitioners.
• Build strong relationships with GPs, allied health professionals, community services and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee rosters, leave, payroll, assets, equipment, consumables and financial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, quality, risk management and clinical governance across the service.
• Lead accreditation preparation and ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation and organisational policies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture focused on staff wellbeing and excellent patient outcomes.
• Ensure strong safeguarding, WHS, confidentiality and duty of care practices.
• Use data and insights to support service planning, evaluation and ongoing improvement.
• Develop partnerships with external services to support continuity of care and collaborative care planning.
