Job summary

Collaborative Healthcare in Joondanna, WA, is seeking a hands-on Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our independent general practice. This full-time role requires building high-performing teams, improving systems and ensuring exceptional patient care while working closely with the Director, GPs, nursing and admin staff.

You will oversee Medicare billing, financial management, policy implementation to AGPAL standards, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-10 years' experience as a Practice Manager.
• Experience managing the operational, financial and people functions of a medical practice.
• Proficient with Best Practice Medical Software.
• Excellent knowledge of Medicare, billing processes and Medicare compliance.
• Good business and commercial acumen with experience in working to set targets, KPIs.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask.
• Approachable, flexible, and problem-solving attitude.
• Qualification in practice management is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice.
• Coordinate front office workflow and reception staff scheduling to ensure outstanding patient experience.
• Cover holiday relief and fill in at reception when required.
• Oversee Medicare billing processes, ensuring billing accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare practitioners fortnightly service fee invoices and staff pays.
• Financial management including maintaining financial records, budgets, and debt recovery.
• Update and implement practice policies meeting AGPAL accreditation standards.
• Lead the practice accreditation process.
• Identify opportunities for growth and process efficiencies.
• Develop systems, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Manage human resources aspects including performance appraisals, conflict resolution, hiring and training new staff.
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders.
