Job summary

Hunter Philips Ltd is seeking experienced Power System Engineers to join its Sydney team. The role focuses on delivering power system analyses and modelling across projects in Australia using PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSilent, PowerFactory and related tools.

You will manage multiple projects, present results to clients, and support sales with technical input while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Sponsorship is not provided; a strong local knowledge base is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience as an expert in power system analysis for grid connection, generation, transmission and distribution in Australia.
• Advanced user of power system software (PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSILENT, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD).
• Project management experience with multiple projects and client-facing delivery.
• Knowledge of planning and connection studies including load flow and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical studies using PSS Sincal, DigSilent, PowerFactory and other tools.
• Develop power system models for generator, load and BESS connections.
• Define and present plans, budgets and risks to clients.
• Provide technical support to the sales team to win new work.
• Generate models, studies and reports for network service providers (e.g., AEMO).
• Support project managers and bid coordinators in proposals.
