Job summary

Hunter Philips Ltd. is seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager/Engineer for Brisbane, Australia to lead end-to-end grid connection submissions for renewable projects.

You will engage with AEMO and network operators, providing expert guidance on HV substations and grid connection feasibility. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, extensive utility-scale grid experience, and strong negotiation and communication skills to manage risk and coordinate with 3rd party

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• Extensive experience as a Grid Professional in utility-scale projects.
• Understanding of grid code, AEMO, and relationships with transmission & distribution operators.
• Strong commercial skills with contract negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of grid connections for renewable projects.
• Manage end-to-end grid connection submissions and negotiations with stakeholders (AEMO, etc.).
• Provide expert design and execution guidance for HV substations and connection to the grid.
• Review electrical designs against grid code and supervise third-party contractors.
• Collaborate on grid connection applications and negotiate conditions with network operators.
• Manage risk and resolve issues related to grid connection.
