Job summary

Enemi Oy seeks a Power Systems Engineer for Network Connections to join a leading TNSP. You will model, simulate, and analyze power networks using PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory to support grid connection studies and renewables integration.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems, strong Python skills, and knowledge of grid codes. You will collaborate with operators, stakeholders, and customers on project delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
• Demonstrable competency in using industry-standard tools like PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
• Solid understanding of power system analysis, grid connection processes, and network operations.
• Programming using Python or similar.
• Knowledge of legislated industry requirements (National Electricity Rules, ESCOSA, OTR, AEMO Guidelines).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Model, simulate, and analyze power systems using PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
• Evaluate grid connection projects and impacts on the network.
• Develop and maintain power system models; conduct testing and commissioning.
• Perform system capability and security analysis including transfer capability.
• Ensure connection compliance and performance.
• Study power flow, fault levels, transient stability, and harmonics for grid codes.
• Assist integration of wind, solar, and battery storage with sustainability goals.
• Prepare and review technical reports and documentation for grid connection studies.
• Collaborate with network operators, stakeholders, and customers for optimal solutions.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies.
