Job summary

CK Connect is seeking a hands-on Power Platform Developer to join a major digital transformation program focused on empowering field-based teams with modern digital solutions. You will design and build Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps for mobile field workers.

You’ll cover the development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and ongoing enhancements, and collaborate with analysts, architects and developers to deliver usable, integrated cloud-based apps.

Job description

We’re looking for a Power Platform Developer to join a major digital transformation program focused on improving how field-based teams work through modern digital solutions.

This is a hands-on development role where you’ll be responsible for designing and building intuitive applications using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps.

A key focus of the role will be creating simple, practical user experiences for field workers using mobile devices — helping them complete day-to-day tasks, capture information, access workflows and interact with business systems while they’re out in the field.

You’ll be involved across the development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions through to development, testing, deployment and ongoing enhancement.

About You

You’re a hands-on Power Platform Developer who enjoys building applications that solve real business problems. You’re comfortable working with stakeholders, understanding how users work day-to-day, and turning those requirements into practical and user-friendly digital solutions.

Experience with PCF and Dataverse will be important, but we’re ultimately looking for someone who understands the broader Power Platform ecosystem and can contribute to the delivery of a wider digital transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Build Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps based on business and user requirements.
• Develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, particularly for mobile and field-based users.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement.
• Develop and configure solutions using Dataverse.
• Develop custom components using Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
• Build workflows and automation using Power Automate.
• Integrate Power Platform applications with other business systems and data sources.
• Participate in solution design, development, testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing Power Platform solutions.
• Work collaboratively with business analysts, solution architects, developers and other stakeholders throughout the transformation program.
• Experience developing Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps.
• Experience with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
• Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse, including data modelling, tables, relationships and security.
• Strong understanding of Power Automate and Power Fx.
• Experience designing user interfaces and applications with a strong focus on usability.
• Experience developing applications for mobile or field-based users would be highly desirable.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 CE – Field Service.
• API and system integration experience.
• Experience with Power Platform solutions, environments and deployment practices.
• Previous experience working on digital transformation or enterprise technology programs.
• Experience in field service, facilities management, workforce management or similar operational environments.
