Job summary

Hearth Allied Health is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our allied health team. You will work closely with clients, families, support workers and professionals to deliver person-centred behaviour support within NDIS frameworks.

Key requirements include tertiary qualifications in a related field and registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, plus a collaborative, organisation-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with a disability is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and NDIS practice standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interdisciplinary teamwork with allied health professionals, managers, and families.
• Collaborative approach and ability to gain support from others.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement person-centred support in the areas of functional behaviour assessment and behaviour support plans.
• Conduct service needs assessments and identify restrictive practices.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate behaviour supports aligned with Disability Services Standards and NDIS requirements.
• Provide positive behaviour support advice to stakeholders and organisations.
• Train in implementation of strategies and interventions with the team.

Education

Tertiary qualification in a related field (Community Services, Education, Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy)
