Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our community-based team supporting NDIS participants across Australia. You will evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans, setting meaningful goals and building capacity within the support network.

Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will champion reducing restrictive practices while navigating paperwork with clarity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in allied health or a related field.
• Have experience reading, implementing, reviewing or creating behaviour support plans.
• Hold NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner status.
• Don't yet have BSP registration? That's okay- we can help you get there.
• Have a genuine passion for disability support.
• Have experience working with complex and challenging behaviours.
• Love working with people and love writing (yes, there will be paperwork).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence-based support plans
• Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
• Building capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workers
• Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
• Championing the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practices
