YMCA Victoria is seeking casual Pool Lifeguards across six Baw Baw region centres including Drouin, Neerim South, Rawson, Thorpdale, Trafalgar and Warragul Leisure Centre. You will monitor the pool area, enforce rules, and educate users on safe aquatic practices to ensure a safe environment for all.

Qualifications include Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain), HLTAID009 CPR and HLTAID011 First Aid. Flexible rostering and access to YMCA facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certificate or willingness to obtain.
• CPR certification HLTAID009 required.
• First Aid certification HLTAID011 required.

Responsabilités

• Supervising a large aquatic space with proactive safety oversight.
• Maintaining vigilant observation of pools and patrons.
• Educating facility users about safe aquatic practices and rules.
• Carrying out intervention to ensure safety of patrons, facility and equipment.

The summer pool season is approaching fast and we are now accepting expressions of interest in Pool Lifeguard work at our pool facilities.Operating at six centres across the Baw Baw region, we’re offering seasonal work opportunities for new and experienced Pool Lifeguards!The centres are:

• Drouin Outdoor Pool
• Neerim South Outdoor Pool
• Rawson Indoor Pool
• Thorpdale Outdoor Pool
• Trafalgar Outdoor Pool
• Warragul Leisure Centre

About the Job

As a Lifeguard in the Baw Baw region, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all visitors! Duties of the role include:

• Supervising a large aquatic space while pro-actively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
• Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
• Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst at the same time educating facility users about safe aquatic practices
• Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment

This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $34.96 + Super & Y Benefits.

We are seeking motivated and friendly Pool Lifeguards to come and join the team.

You will be patient, focused, and pro-active in keeping our pool-users informed and safe.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of their communities.
