YMCA Victoria in Victoria's Baw Baw region is hiring casual Lifeguards for six centres, including Drouin Outdoor, Neerim South Outdoor, Rawson Indoor, Thorpdale, Trafalgar and Warragul Leisure Centre. Join a team delivering a safe swimming environment and friendly service.

You’ll supervise, observe, educate on aquatic safety, and intervene when needed. Qualifications include Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain) and CPR/First Aid.

About The Job

As a Lifeguard in the Baw Baw region, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all visitors! Duties of the role include:

• Supervising a large aquatic space while pro-actively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
• Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
• Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst at the same time educating facility users about safe aquatic practices
• Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment

This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $34.96 + Super & Y Benefits.

About You

We are seeking motivated and friendly Pool Lifeguards to come and join the team.

You will be patient, focused, and pro-active in keeping our pool-users informed and safe.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of their communities.

Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
