Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Policy Coordinator to join its Risk, Policy and Compliance team in Canberra. You will support policy development, review and document control across the organisation, ensuring policies stay current and aligned with legislative and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate the policy lifecycle from research through to approval, publication and review, working with managers and experts to craft clear, well‑structured documents and maintain version control.

Qualifications

• Draft, review and edit policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Understand policy management systems and document control workflows.
• Research and interpret legislative requirements for organisational policies.
• Strong writing, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain policy management framework, register and review schedule.
• Coordinate policy development, stakeholder consultation, reviews and approvals.
• Research legislative requirements and identify gaps with recommended improvements.
• Draft and update policies, procedures and supporting documents.
• Manage version control, templates, publication and archiving.
• Administer policy and compliance systems, including registers and reporting.
• Support compliance reporting, audits and quality assurance activities.
• Communicate policy changes and support related training and implementation.
• Improve governance processes and monitor review completion and metrics.
