Job summary

DXT in Sydney is seeking an experienced and hands-on PM Operations Supervisor to oversee the afternoon/evening warehouse and linehaul operation. This is a key operational leadership role ensuring freight is processed, loaded, restrained and dispatched safely and on time.

You will lead the PM warehouse and loading team, coordinate daily freight movements, monitor safety checks, and manage staff productivity to maintain a safe, efficient depot.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in transport, logistics or warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of linehaul and freight operations.
• Sound understanding of load restraint and transport safety requirements.
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• MC licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the PM warehouse and loading team.
• Coordinate daily freight movements and scheduled linehaul departures.
• Ensure freight is correctly sorted, scanned and loaded onto the appropriate linehaul.
• Monitor freight to minimise missed movements and unnecessary holdovers.
• Ensure full compliance with DXT scanning and TMS processes.
• Take responsibility for safe loading and correct load restraint across all outbound vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure loads are appropriately positioned, distributed and restrained prior to departure.
• Stop and rectify any unsafe or incorrectly restrained load before a vehicle leaves the depot.
• Ensure required trailer/load photographs and safety checks are completed.
• Manage staff productivity, labour requirements and overtime.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse.
• Monitor priority customer freight and evolve potential service failures.
• Complete an accurate PM-to-AM operational handover.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous supervisory experience in transport, logistics or warehousing.

• Strong knowledge of linehaul and freight operations.

• Sound understanding of load restraint and transport safety requirements.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Experience with Trans Virtual or similar transport systems is desirable.

• Forklift licence highly regarded.

• MC license highly regarded
