Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a leading food manufacturer in Adelaide's northern suburbs, on a full‑time afternoon shift (12:00pm–8:30pm).

You will maintain, repair and improve a wide range of production and packaging machinery, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met in a high‑output facility with long‑term stability.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
• Experience in FMCG, food, packaging or beverage manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work safely within hygiene and compliance standards.
• Willingness to work a full‑time afternoon shift (12pm–8:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Reactive and preventative maintenance across production lines.
• Mechanical fault‑finding on high‑speed packaging and processing equipment.
• Servicing conveyors, ovens, mixers, pumps, motors and automated machinery.
• Completing maintenance logs, safety checks and compliance documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

Roster: Monday to Friday | 12:00pm–8:30pm

We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a fast‑paced food manufacturing operation on a full‑time afternoon shift. This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work, thrives in a high‑output production environment, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

About the Role: You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of production and packaging machinery. The work is varied, essential to daily operations, and offers strong long‑term stability in a well‑established facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Reactive and preventative maintenance across production lines
• Mechanical fault‑finding on high‑speed packaging and processing equipment
