Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Fleet Allocator for the PM shift at our Sydney West facility. From 12:00pm, you’ll dispatch and allocate fleet resources, manage drivers, and respond to breakdowns and route changes to keep cold-chain integrity.

In a live, high-volume environment with GPS tracking and TMS, you’ll coordinate with warehousing and customer service, monitor DIFOT, and ensure safety and fatigue compliance while delivering on daily schedules.

Qualifications

Experience in fleet allocation, dispatch, transport scheduling, or transport operations.
Exposure to refrigerated or temperature-controlled logistics; cold-chain knowledge is non-negotiable.
Ability to manage drivers and influence outcomes through clear communication.
Familiar with TMS platforms, GPS fleet tracking, or SAP.
Able to start at 12:00pm and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Backgrounds in refrigerated transport, FMCG logistics, foodservice distribution, or freight dispatch.

Responsibilities

Dispatch and allocate trucks and subcontractors across daily delivery and pickup schedules.
Coordinate route changes, delays, and exceptions in real time via TMS and GPS tracking.
Manage driver attendance, performance, and momentum throughout the shift.
Liaise with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to keep freight moving.
Monitor refrigerated transport requirements and maintain cold-chain compliance.
Ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management obligations.
Track DIFOT, vehicle utilisation, and cost per delivery; prepare handover notes for the afternoon team.
