Job summary

Luxoft in Australia is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks for modern web apps. You will implement UI and API tests, integrate with CI/CD, and collaborate across development and QA teams in Agile delivery.

You should be hands-on with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Git, with a strong focus on test data management, scalability, and maintainable test assets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• UI automation testing for web applications.
• Understanding of REST API testing concepts and validation.
• Knowledge of automation framework design patterns and test data management.
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Implement end-to-end UI automation for web applications across multiple browsers.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using Playwright or related tools.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure high test coverage, stability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
• Participate in test planning, test reviews, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Maintain version-controlled test assets and follow automation best practices.
