Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Lead/Principal Automation QA Engineer in Sydney to drive quality across multiple projects. You will architect Playwright-based automation frameworks, champion Shift-Left testing, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable software.

You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab), manage test data and environments, and ensure fast feedback and high code quality throughout the release cycle.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of QA/Automation experience and hands-on leadership.
• Experience delivering automation at scale across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of Playwright and modern automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain robust automation frameworks (Playwright, Java/TS).
• Define test strategy and planning for multi-tier apps.
• Drive Shift-Left adoption with early collaboration with developers.
• Lead multi-initiative QA efforts and mentor teams.
