Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Sydney is seeking an experienced QA automation engineer to lead Playwright-based testing and TypeScript automation across UI, API, and integration testing. The role emphasizes hands-on Playwright work and robust API validation in an Agile setting.

You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define testing strategies, implement CI/CD integrations, and maintain comprehensive test documentation for high-quality releases in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

7-15 years of experience in QA automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
Proven experience in API testing and automation.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Build and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define and implement testing strategies.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions).
Ensure high-quality delivery by identifying defects early and contributing to root-cause analysis.
Collaborate in an Agile environment and participate in sprint ceremonies.
Prepare and maintain test documentation, reports, and standard QA processes.
