Job summary

Jobtailor in Australia is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for retail technology platforms supporting lottery products across Australia.

You will deliver automated functional, API, regression and integration tests, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and SQL knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Hands-on with Playwright, WebDriver IO, or similar tools.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD.
• Understanding of Agile, DevOps and modern software delivery.
• Experience with SQL and back-end testing concepts.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Deliver automated functional, API, regression and integration testing.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Apply risk-based testing to maximise quality and coverage.
• Investigate defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Review requirements and designs to ensure they are testable from the outset.
• Support test data creation and automation strategies.
• Contribute to a quality-first engineering culture across the team.
• Ensure the quality, reliability and performance of retail technology platforms supporting lottery products across Australia.
• Work as part of a cross-functional squad and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
