Job summary

Whizdom in Sydney is seeking a Snowflake Platform Engineer for a 6-month contract to design, integrate, and optimise enterprise data solutions on Snowflake and Azure.

You will work with architects, data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to implement RBAC, data classification, and governance, delivering secure, scalable analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platform roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including scheme design, query optimisation, and security and access control.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage.
• Deep understanding of RBAC, Data classification frameworks, Data security best practices.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to detailed data platform architecture and solution design.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing data platform team working on enterprise-wide analytics capabilities. You’ll play a key role in designing, integrating, and optimising Snowflake solutions, enabling secure and efficient data access across advanced data and analytics platforms.
