Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale technology environment in Sydney. You will build and enhance modern platform capabilities, with a strong focus on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and automation, working closely with development teams to streamline software delivery and enable GitOps.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in DevOps or platform engineering, hands-on Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker and Kubernetes, cloud

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience within DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar engineering role.
• Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Scripting: Python, Bash or Ruby.
• GitOps practices with ArgoCD.
• Helm-based deployments experience.
• Kubernetes concepts: isolation, quotas, scalability.
• Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• DevOps automation and modern software delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests and deployments.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities and standardised delivery patterns.
• Create service templates, CI/CD components, Kubernetes baselines and observability packages.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Build and maintain containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and manage Helm-based deployments.
• Implement platform-level Kubernetes controls for isolation, quotas and scalability.
• Enable self-service engineering via APIs, CLIs and automated workflows.
• Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD.
• Monitor platform and system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy new applications/features.
• Apply security best practices across platform engineering and deployment.
