Job summary

Charterhouse is seeking a Platform Engineer to support and develop our technology environment across cloud infrastructure, networking, data, applications and business initiatives.

The role blends BAU support with project work, offering exposure to Azure services and automation opportunities. You will collaborate with engineers, data analysts and business stakeholders to drive improvements and software delivery reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Platform/Cloud/Infrastructure/DevOps roles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Open-minded and eager to learn new technologies.
• Azure experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Networking, Azure Functions/Logic Apps, Azure Monitor.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve cloud platforms, infrastructure and business applications.
• Develop and maintain the infrastructure.
• Support CI/CD and engineering practices.
• Monitor and improve platform performance and reliability.

Platform Engineer

We are looking for a technically curious and well-rounded Platform Engineer to support and develop our technology environment.

This role will combine BAU support with project-based work, giving you exposure across cloud infrastructure, networking, data, applications and business technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and improving cloud platforms, infrastructure and business applications.
• Developing and maintaining the infrastructure
• Supporting CI/CD and engineering practices
• Monitoring and improving platform performance and reliability
• Working closely with Engineers, Data Analysts and business stakeholders on technology and business improvement projects.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
• Exploring the practical use of AI tools

Your Skills

• 4+ years of experience in a Platform, Cloud, Infrastructure, Systems or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Open-minded, curious and interested in learning and adopting new technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience (AWS and/or VMWare experience is a bonus)
• Experience with a number of the following:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Networking
  • Azure Functions / Function Apps
  • Azure DevOps
  • Bicep or Terraform
  • VMware or Citrix
  • Azure Monitor or LogicMonitor

Nice to have:

Experience with containers, as well as an interest in AI-assisted engineering tools.
