Job summary

Charterhouse Recruitment (Australia) is seeking a Platform Engineer to support and develop our technology environment, blending BAU with project work across cloud infrastructure, networking, data, applications and business tech initiatives.

You will build and improve cloud platforms, maintain infrastructure, support CI/CD, and collaborate with Engineers, Data Analysts and stakeholders on technology improvements, with a focus on automation and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Platform, Cloud, Infra, Systems or DevOps engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Open-minded, curious, and willing to learn new technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience; AWS and/or VMware is a bonus.

Platform Engineer

We are looking for a technically curious and well-rounded Platform Engineer to support and develop our technology environment.

This role will combine BAU support with project-based work, giving you exposure across cloud infrastructure, networking, data, applications and business technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and improving cloud platforms, infrastructure and business applications.
• Developing and maintaining the infrastructure
• Supporting CI/CD and engineering practices
• Monitoring and improving platform performance and reliability
• Working closely with Engineers, Data Analysts and business stakeholders on technology and business improvement projects.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
• Exploring the practical use of AI tools

Your Skills

• 4+ years of experience in a Platform, Cloud, Infrastructure, Systems or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Open-minded, curious and interested in learning and adopting new technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience (AWS and/or VMWare experience is a bonus)
• Experience with a number of the following:

  • Azure Networking

  • Bicep or Terraform
  • VMware or Citrix

Nice to have:
